Marcus Linial

Marcus Linial is the founder of ML Presents (the parent company to Fun Music Presents) and was the former owner of many live music venues in NYC, including the very popular Shine and Canal Room which he closed down in 2014 after 15 years of business. He started his career as a promoter producing his very first few shows at the historic Capitol Theatre in Port Chester NY. Back in 2001 he became a recording artist and was signed by Clive Davis for J Records and was managed by Johnny Wright (Brittany Spears, NSYNC, Justin Timberlake); the deal also landed him a spot as the opening act for O-Town on their 2001 summer tour. Marcus, who co-wrote his whole album with the help of producers PM Dawn, has played many roles in the music business as a venue owner, producer, writer, performer.

In 2008, Linial came up with the idea of doing an all 80s show and Back To The Eighties Show was created. With the help from Jessie's Girl, they have taken the show to a whole other level. The show plays to sold out weekly crowds in NYC and tours the country. He now produces the Back To The Eighties Show with Jessie's Girl and I Love The 90s with The Fresh Kids of Bel-Air at Le Poisson Rouge at 158 Bleecker St in NYC. One of Linial's strong suits is his personal relationships with many of the original iconic artists, such as MC Hammer, Colin Hay, Bret Michaels, Chris Barron, Naughty By Nature, Debbie Gibson and Tiffany, just to name a few; he often has these artists and icons perform with his bands. His shows play in such prestigious venues such as The Capitol Theatre, Rams Head Live, Baltimore, The National in VA, World Cafe Live in Philly and Delaware, The Paramount Theatre in LI. Linial's reputation for only producing the best shows has helped him solidify deals with companies like Google, The NFL, Coca Cola, Brightstar Corp, Wheels Up, Marquis Jet, Spanx, and CMJ Underwriters. ML Presents is based in DUMBO, Brooklyn. His biggest pride and joy is his family - his wife Melanie and their two children, Benjamin and Summer. He is also very passionate about Italian ices (his favorite is Rocco's in NYC).

Teresa brings an efficiency to the JG crew that is not rooted in the music scene at all, but 13 years in a Labor and Delivery Operating Room! As surgical tech and literally the "right hand person" to the surgeon, she is used to keeping cool under pressure when the balance of life and death is at on weekends, keeping Jessie's Girl's shows running smoothly by handling much of the "behind the scenes" stuff is a relaxing break to say the least. She typically handles travel and hospitality arrangements for the band on away gigs, and a multitude of backstage tasks at shows - being the first line of defense against the inevitable in-show problems that arise. Her love of music and performance started with her teenage pursuits of trumpet, dancing, gymnastics and competitive twirling, many of which she continued into adulthood as hobbies. Her own performance experience includes being the featured solo twirler for her high school for multiple years - twirling fire and knives alone on a football field in front of her entire town. So though she functions perfectly in the shadows now, she knows the limelight well. Her love of music and friendships with the band make it all worth while!

Carrissa Pfest is totally psyched to be designing for her favorite decade: the 80’s! Inspired by Gaultier at the tender age of 8, she knew mixing costuming and art were her passion, pursuing it to study at the London College of Fashion. Since her move from sweet home Chicago to NYC, she’s gotten to costume celebs like Rob Thomas, Jeff Gordon and Jimmy Buffett and is ready to work her neon glitter powers on the Back to the Eighties Show. From Madonna to Michael, Poison to Prince, they will all come to life before your eyes!
